Making A Friend Into A Catwoman Avatar

Let's shake things up a bit… no robots on this entry!

A friend asked me to make a portrait avatar for her… and here's my answer to the query.

Meeeow!

Sketching to keep ideas Flowing

Random sketch. One of the things I've been aiming at is illustrating an appealing female form. Fred More for example is someone who really understood where to put those lines and how. One of these days I'll get to hitting those notes with my own marks. For now I'll just keep at it.

Draw draw draw.

Below is an other random sketches; I try my best to keep loose with the pencil, I usually find the time to sketch in the evening before going to bed, and when I see some work that inspire me I tend to do sketches in that style.  In this case I saw Sergi Borsa's work and I got an adrenaline kick.

Character Design Sketches

Some more random character designs, and this is how new projects get started and old ideas solidify.  There are definitely a couple of things in these sketches that at some point in time will surface at Curio & Co.

Character Sketches

Some random sketches from last night.  I was looking at the book Cartoon Modern it's a great source of inspiration, if you like character design for animation it's a must have.

Keeping Loose With Some Character Sketches

I've been working on some Spaceman Jax animation content.

But, there's always time for a break, to do something different and get some juices flowing, truing new stuff, and having some fun.

Looking at Toulouse Lautrec & Rene Gruau

Darkwing Duck
