Red Pencil Roughs for the Curio & Co. Tarot Deck - Unveiling at SDCC July 8, 2015
Here's a stack of sketches for the Curio & Co. tarot cards I've been working on. It's been rather refreshing holding just one tool for some solid days. I got to know the pencil just a bit better, and there's so much to learn from it…

Temperance Inked - Curio & Co. Tarot Cards - See them all at SDCC 2015
From the sketch to the ink now we have the Temperance in ink. I guess I'm a bit loopy today… heck it's ok! A little craziness is good for the soul and the creative process.

The Emperor Inked - Curio & Co. Tarot Cards - See them all at SDCC 2015
The ink version of The Emperor for the tarot card set.
We always put little easter eggs in all of the Curio & Co. projects we create. Its fun for us and it gives an extra layer of discovery to what we do for our Curio collectors. In this case: the chicken on the shied is the chicken of Cudworth-Hooper the manufacturer of the Gadabout (time machine).

Sketching the Ace of Coins for the Curio & Co. Tarot Cards - See Them All at SDCC 2015
Here we are with the initial sketch for the Ace of Coins.
I still have a couple more of the major arcana that I need to work on, yet tackling some of the minor arcana is helping figuring out some stylistic design elements that will need to be present in the entire set.
On to the next one…

Sketch of The Wheel For The Curio & Co. Tarot Cards - Hold The Entire Set At SDCC 2015
Here's the rough sketch for The Wheel. I think this is the card that has the more iconography in the entire deck, it's insane all it's missing is a cherry on top!

The World Inked - Curio & Co. Tarot Cards - First Release at SDCC 2015
Here's the inked version of The World for the tarot card set.
Desing the one of those things that you never know what you need to change until you get almost to the end. I have a the feeling that this card will have to undergo some changes before it goes to press.
Equalising all of the design of a set is always a hefty task, specially because every project I do I tend to do it in a different style. And of course that leads to an other production pipeline. Enough rambling here's The World.

Icon Design for Safety Pic - iPhone App
Here's some thing a little different from the more recent posts. In the studio we are always working on multiple projects at the same time, its the nature of things. Hence this project…
I was asked to design the icon for a new upcoming iPhone app "Safety Pic" This is the proposed design that was submitted.
I have posted more details of the project on my Behance page

The Stars Inked - the Curio & Co. Tarot Cards - at SDCC 2015
Here is the next one of the tarot cards; I just finished inking The Stars. This time around I used a slightly different font, with a more decorative serif. Before I'll do the color pass, I'll be retouching each one and making sure they all have the same key elements: fonts, line weights, stylistic lines, and what ever else.
